The simple solution to the most stressful part of moving

Where do you actually live between selling your current home and buying your next?

One of the most common questions I get from sellers planning their next move is this: where do we actually go in between?

It’s a fair concern. You don’t want to be stuck without a place to land but you also don’t want to carry two homes longer than necessary (if at all).

The goal is to line up your sale and purchase so they work together, but in real life, dates don’t always match perfectly. That’s where strategy comes in.

There are a few different ways to structure a move so you’re covered on both ends but one of the most useful tools in that gap is bridge financing.

Bridge financing is a short-term loan that allows you to access the equity in your current home to close on your next one before your sale officially goes through. It’s designed specifically for that “in between” window so you’re not scrambling for a place to stay or feeling pressured into a decision that doesn’t fit.

The key here isn’t just knowing that these options exist. It’s planning early enough to use them properly.

Getting a clear picture of your numbers and timing upfront makes everything smoother and a lot less stressful.

Need to talk to someone about your finances? I work with trusted mortgage agents (who are also genuinely great people) that I’d be happy to recommend. send me a message anytime and tell me what you’re looking for.
