Why Snow Days Lead to Moving Days

This week, thanks to the snowpocalypse, we’ve spent way more time at home than usual.

At some point between another coffee and another load of laundry, I opened a drawer in my kitchen and had a moment…

– Burned birthday candles

– Broken crayons

– Two mystery keys

– A charger for a phone that no longer exists

I laughed and thought, well, that tracks.

When life slows down, whether because of snow, sickness, or just being home more than usual, you start noticing things you normally ignore. The drawer that won’t close properly. The corner that’s become a dumping ground. The little annoyances you’ve been stepping around all year.

Here’s the part no one really talks about:

Those small things don’t stay small. Over time, they quietly make your home feel harder to live in.

When clients tell me they feel “stuck” in their house, we almost always start with the small stuff. Not renovations. Not listings. Just paying attention to what isn’t working anymore.

Sometimes, making your home feel better is about bringing order back to tiny pockets of chaos.

And sometimes… those annoyances are your home’s way of saying, hey, I think you’ve outgrown me.

Either way, if being snowed in this week has you noticing things differently, or dreaming a little about what could be next, I’m here to help you sort through it.

send me a message and tell me one annoying thing in your house right now!
