I took a break but the market hasn’t

If you’re the kind of person whose eyes light up with new email notifications, I apologize. I recently stepped away for a few days to enjoy a vacation with my family and I chose to hit pause on my weekly email updates.

This isn’t exactly a sentimental note about how summer is a time to slow down, smell the roses (if they haven’t yet been crisped by the sun) and enjoy some quality time with the ones you love. But it is a reminder that life comes in seasons and it’s best to focus on the one you’re in right now without wishing it away too quickly. (I’m looking at you, pumpkin spice lovers…)

What’s happening in the market? Things are picking up. Now, that’s not a gust of wind that will knock you over but enough of a breeze to catch your attention. We’ve still got a fair bit of inventory and many buyers are circling a property of interest until someone decides to commit. It’s common right now for a property to be on market 30+ days and then suddenly find themselves in a multiple offer situation. These things can’t always be predicted, but you can certainly aim to be prepared.
