Lately my favorite part of the day has been about 9:15 pm.
The kids are in bed. The dishes are done, my house is quiet.
After a long day that can only be credited to spring market real estate, I can finally sit down with my book.
I’ve been on a bit of a reading kick lately, and I forgot how nice it is to end the day that way instead of scrolling my phone.
Lamp on. Cozy blanket. A chapter or two… 10/10 highly recommend.
But something funny happens when I talk to friends about books.
The conversation quickly turns to swapping recommendations, explaining why we loved or hated a certain book and of course, trying desperately to explain a storyline without giving major spoilers.
This is honestly a lot like how my business works now too. Most of the people I work with didn’t randomly find me on the internet. They heard my name from a friend, a neighbour, someone at church, or someone who said, “You should call her, she really helped us.”
And that kind of recommendation will always mean the most to me.
So if real estate comes up in conversation with someone you know, just know I’m always happy to help them.
And since you’re wondering, I’m currently reading Everyone Here is Lying by Shari Lapena. It’s the kind that hooks you in right away but I might go crazy having to read the whole thing just to find out the resolution. What’s on your TBR list?
If you put the books down and head out this weekend, check out a few local egg hunts!
Until next time,
